P1 celebrate St Patrick’s Day

16th Mar 2021

We have been learning about St Patrick.

St Patrick was taken from England and brought to Ireland by pirates.  He became a slave and was very sad because he missed his family.  One day, he decided to escape and returned to England.
At night, St Patrick had dreams about Ireland.  He realised the Irish needed his help to show kindness and care.  He returned to help and is remembered for all his good work.

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, we have been and will continue to practise kindness in school when playing with our friends.

We made some green ties to wear on St Patrick’s Day and a little Leprechaun to spread some luck.

Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone!
