We are Special!

1st Oct 2021

This week, we explored the theme ‘We are Special’.

Our big book this week was Giraffes Can’t Dance.  This story taught us that we are all different and special in our own way.

We explored the similarities and differences we have in appearance (for example, our hair colour and eye colour) and created a graph. We also explored our finger prints and learned that no one else in the world has the same markings as us.

We celebrated this theme by throwing a birthday party during Structured Play to signify a special day to us, the day we were born.  We also drew and labelled pictures to share with our teachers and friends our skills and talents.

There is no one quite like us.  We are unique!
